Earlier today, ESPN’s Adam Shefter reported that the Browns would be interested in interviewing George W. Bush’s former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. She’s been a huge Browns fan over the years.
Of course, Rice was bound to address the offer and while it’s intriguing, she still prefers to be a fan but jokingly said she hopes the Browns will let her call a play or two. She added that she wants Cleveland to bring in an experienced head coach to turn their franchise around. In the future, Rice also hopes that the NFL will eventually bring in more women for coaching and executive positions.
This is what it’s coming to for the dismal Browns. Condoleezza Rice seems very smart but being a huge fan of your team doesn’t make you automatically qualified to be a head coach. We will see who else emerges as a surprise contender to be the new head coach of the Browns to replace Hue Jackson.
