We should be thankful for this courtroom artist for providing us with the comic relief of the day.
Clayface Brady led to a million memes and photoshops, but the courtroom artist is getting some backlash and she wants to explain herself.
A sketch of the Patriots’ quarterback emerged from the Manhattan federal courthouse this afternoon, and made the rounds on Twitter. Judging from the drawing, the Uggs model wasn’t looking so hot.
A widely circulated tweet by Jeff Israel asserted that the image was “no doubt the worst sketch of Tom Brady ever created.”
“I know I don’t tend to flatter people,” Rosenberg said.
Rosenberg said that as a courtroom artist, the length of time she has to work on a sketch varies. If it’s an arraignment, she can have as little as five minutes to make a sketch.
While she has little time, Rosenberg says she aims to capture everything about a proceeding: mood, scene, and likeness.
“I’m not perfect in that length of time,” she said. “I’m lucky enough people realized it was Tom Brady.”
“Tell Tom Brady I’m sorry I didn’t make him pretty enough,” she added. “He’s very pretty.”
I can’t wait for Clayface Brady signs to show up all over the NFL, when his suspension is over.
