The Detriot Lions are by far one of the worst teams in the NFL right now and with any team’s failures, it usually starts with the quarterback.
During Sunday’s game vs. the Bengals, Lions QB Jared Goff found himself in a fourth and short where the coaches opted to go for it. Goff found himself under pressure and found himself having to leave the pocket and throw the ball away instead of giving his guys a shot at making a play.
This is usually something that is common sense to most quarterbacks, but Goff decided to give up on the play inside of the Bengals’ 44 yard-line. This is the reason why Dan Campbell laid into Goff after the game.
Goff doesn’t seem like the answer in Detriot and hasn’t thrown for a TD in two games. To be fair, he doesn’t have much to work with, but still not a good sign.
