Major League Baseball’s attempt to be a little more diverse continues to be a top priority for them.
Diversity is a hot issue these days and Major League Baseball wants to make sure that it stays on top of their agenda. The event took place at Citifield and it’s a two day event that is filled with speakers from all major sports. In other words, this symposium wants everyone to feel welcomed and creating a comfortable space for all.
Tuesday’s speakers ranged from Wendy Lewis, who opened the symposium and is the senior vice president of diversity for the MLB, to an LGBT panel which was title, Creating an atmosphere of inclusiveness.
Tomorrow’s agenda is just as packed as MLB commissioner Rob Manfred is set to address and continue this talk of diversity and inclusion.
