Deron Williams is struggling to regain the form that had some believing he was the best point guard in the NBA.
After going 3-12 for 13 points and six assists in his return to the starting lineup, Williams told the New York Post that he’s struggling with his confidence right now.
“It’s not my highest,” he said with a sheepish smile. “It’s been tough … just being in and out of the lineups, missing two weeks here and there.
“I feel like I get my legs back, get my legs in shape, and then I go out again. Then I’ve got to just do it all over again. It’s just been a struggle.”
Confidence and injuries have been the story for Williams since coming over to the Nets in 2012.
