Thanksgiving is a time to reflect, a time for warmth, and most importantly a time for giving.
Earlier in the week, Chiefs wide receiver Dexter McCluster was out and about in the community taking part in the Chiefs annual home delivery of a Thanksgiving meal to low-income residence in Kansas City.
The Chiefs have taken part in such an event for over 20 years.
The Chiefs are currently 1-9 and having one of their rougher seasons in memory, so you would expect that Chiefs fans getting these Turkeys would be thankful and cut their favorite NFL team some slack.
Wrong. One die-hard Chiefs fan in particular let McCluster have it while he was dropping off her dinner via KSHB Channel 4 in Kansas City.
“Y’all better start winning some games,” Ms. Louise said. “I’ve been praying, but y’all got to work a little bit harder.”
McCluster signed some autographs for Ms. Louise, delivered her meal, and took her criticism to heart.
“She definitely gave me a pep talk,” McCluster said.
