Most of the celebrities and famous people have lashed out at Will Smith on social media for slapping Chris Rock over a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett’s bald head at the Oscars but DJ Jazzy Jeff is among the few celebrities staying with Will in this mess. He seems to defend Will Smith for landing a hot slap on Chris Rock’s face at the Oscars.
DJ Jazzy Jeff says Will Smith had a lapse in judgment and added that he can bring 50 instances that Will should’ve slapped the sh** out of people and he didn’t so Will slapping Chris was a result of a lapse in judgment via TJB;
The actor/rapper recently said his friend Will Smith, 53, had a “lapse in judgment” when he slapped Chris Rock, 57, last month at the Academy Awards. During a chat with WGCI Radio in Chicago, DJ Jazzy Jeff, 57, said,
“Don’t get it twisted that … it was a lapse in judgment. And I think the thing that I realized is, I don’t know too many people that has had the least amount of lapse of judgment than him. I can name 50 times that he should’ve smacked the sh*t out of somebody, and he didn’t.”
He added,
“So for him to have a lapse of judgment, he’s human. And I think a lot of the criticism comes from people who don’t think people like that are human.”
While he appears to be standing beside Will Smith, DJ Jazzy Jeff seemingly questioned the incident immediately after it happened, asking in a tweet,
“What was that????”
