Right now, Dwight Howard might as well be Dwight Schrute because the carnival this guy is creating is straight comedy. The latest this morning from ESPN’s Chris Broussard (not the fake @ChrisBrousard parody account so many people have fallen for) has the Nets back in the running for the services of the Orlando Magic center even with the trade for Joe Johnson. Here are the details.
The Nets and the Orlando Magic are discussing a trade that would send Howard to the Nets for Brook Lopez, Kris Humphries, MarShon Brooks and the Nets’ first-round picks in 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2018, sources said.
Four first round picks on top of those three guys? Funny that one of the guys involved is The Humph, because he is used to being involved in a circus surrounding a tremendously egotistical attention whore.
If you ask me, it just seems like ESPN is reporting every angle so when it does go down, one of their analysts can be right. I fully expect some second or third tier analyst to report that Howard will be traded to the Miami Heat for Eddy Curry, Norris Cole’s High Top Fade and A Platinum Album of Digital Underground’s Humpty Dance signed by Juwon Howard.
