DE Everson Griffen signed with the Vikings on Monday, as he was previously with the team from 2010-2019. This also meant that he had to do some apologizing. This past January, Griffen called current Minnesota QB Kirk Cousins “ass” on Twitter.
Griffen initially tagged the Vikings on his feed, and said “Kirk Cousins is ass. Thank you. Ask Zimmer if he wanted Kirk.” The DE spoke to the media on Monday, and revealed that he will go apologize to Cousins, after he took those shots on Twitter. He did go on to apologize on Twitter, after that rant before. It’s about doing it in person now, though.
Griffen is entering his 11th season in the NFL, as he was with the Cowboys and Lions last season. He was traded to Dallas in the middle of the year.
