Big Pun will always be labeled as one of the most talented artists in hip-hip history. He came onto the scene in 1998 with his debut album Capital Punishment and released his sophomore album Yeeeah Baby in 2000 shortly before his death. His debut album created the single ‘I Don’t Wanna Be A Player No More.’
The Ewing sneaker brand that is owned by NBA Hall of Famer Patrick Ewing is teaming up with Pun’s widow Liza Rios to celebrate the 20-year anniversary of Capital Punishment with a sneaker release. It is called the Big Pun x Ewing 33 Hi and will be launched this weekend at BX Sports, a popular shoe store in the Bronx where Pun frequently shopped at.
The sneakers will feature the color schemes from Capital Punishment along with Pun’s logos. More information regarding its release in stores is not available yet.
