Thankfully this wasn’t worse.
A frightening accident occurred on Friday during the Oakland Athletics-Boston Red Sox game at Fenway Park, after a broken-bat shard struck a fan in the stands.
According to ESPN.com’s Gordon Edes, Athletics third baseman Brett Lawrie’s bat broke, sending a piece into the stands — hitting a fan who was sitting down the third base line.

It looks like fan who left game had a child with her. Child was carried out by medics while she shrieked in pain. Brutal to see and hear.
