This is fantastic news, considering the alternatives.
USA Today is reporting the family of Tonya Carpenter, has issued a statement saying she’s responsive and that her condition has improved from ‘serious’ to ‘fair’.
Carpenter, 44 is the MLB fan who was seriously injured Fenway Park, after the broken bat of Oakland A’s second baseman Brett Lawrie struck her in the head. Her injuries were initially called ‘life-threatening by police.
The Red Sox said Monday that Carpenter was in the “forefront of their minds” and will be willing to take a more serious look at fan safety at the ballpark.
She’s being treated at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center for her injuries.
