RASHAN ALI & ATLANTA CELEBS HAVE A ‘PLAYDATE’ FOR CHARITY
Fonzworth Bentley, Derek Blanks & Others Lend A Hand In Support of Sporty Girls, Inc.
(Atlanta, GA) – If you can’t remember the last time you had fun playing a game of Uno, Connect Four or Twister, then get ready to join Atlanta media personality Rashan Ali and her celebrity guests in support of her foundation, Sporty Girls, Inc. for Celebrity PlayDate on Thursday, December 10 from 7 pm – 11 pm at the Loft At Castleberry Hill.
PlayDate is a popular event that is hosted in major cities across the country and draws participation from thousands of young professionals who are in search of an alternative to traditional nightlife for opportunities to mix and mingle. Attendees have a chance to reconnect with their youth while making new connections with each other over games, music and much more. The twist to this particular PlayDate is that attendees will also have a chance to obtain bragging rights by beating some of their favorite celebrities and tastemakers at some of these games. Proceeds from Celebrity PlayDate will benefit Sporty Girls, Inc., a foundation established by Rashan Ali in 2006 with the mission of cultivating, enriching and challenging young women to participate in the non-traditional sports of soccer, tennis, golf and swimming while developing and fostering life skills.
“Sporty Girls continues to grow and we are excited about being able to increase the number of young women we will impact in 2010, so our goal is to raise money for our Camp Elite” said Rashan Ali. “The celebrities who’ve volunteered their time to come have a little fun in support of Sporty Girls are greatly appreciated, and we expect to have a ball!”
