The iconic red clay. The Parisian setting. The beginning of Summer for tennis lovers wouldn’t be complete without the French Open.
It’s grand slam season yet again, it’s been a long 4 months since the Australian Open where Novak Djokovic did what he continues to do best–take the tennis world by storm, and Victoria Azarenka screamed her way to a victory.
The world’s best have once again convened in Paris to make history. Rafael Nadal, who’s won at Roland Garros a historic 7 times is back from a knee injury, which caused him to miss the US Open back in September.
On the men’s side we have the usual suspects vying for the win, with the exception of Andy Murray who withdrew. Look for Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal to advance deep in the Open, and we’ll most likely be treated to yet another superstar vs superstar final.
On the women’s side the open door remains very open, but big names like Maria Sharapova, Serena Williams and Victoria Azarenka will make their presence felt.
The most wonderful time of the year for tennis fans is now. Let the games begin.
