An alligator crawled out of a storm drain Thursday morning, and calmly placed himself on a family’s front porch.
Jodi Luna, who lives nearby, said she saw the alligator emerge from a storm drain in the 200 block of Oak Point Drive.
Luna said the alligator crawled across several front lawns before it came to rest on a family’s front porch. She snapped several photos.
Officials with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries were called to remove the alligator. As of 2:30 p.m. Thursday, the alligator has not been caught.
Agents with the DWLF estimate the gator is 9-10 feet long.
