It has been a quiet summer for the NFL, and now the only headlines are silly practice altercations. Today at New York Giants Practice, the men pushing and running each other over all day got into a altercation. It was the final practice of New York Giants minicamp for the spring and defensive tackle Damon Harrison swing guard Will Hernandez got into an altercation, one that involved swinging helmets. While both men were not injured during the melee, the guy they pay to protect the quarterback did. Left tackle Nate Solder, walked away limping after his leg was rolled up on by a teammate. Nate Soldier spoke on the severity of his injury.
“hurt a little bit” afterward. He was hopeful it was OK. Coach Pat Shurmur said he received an update on the field that Solder was “fine.”
Altercations in practice are really only a bad thing when someone gets hurt, it is good to see your million dollar star athletes actually caring about results in June. The Giants are poised for a triumphant return this season, however the production and health of Nate Soldier is key to there success.
