Jack Clark and his co-host caused quite the stir after stating on the air that Albert Pujols along with Justin Verlander and Shawn Green have used PED’s.
Now the station which employed Clark and his co-host have issued this statement:
Early Saturday, insideSTL announced it “has terminated its relationship with Jack Clark and Kevin Slaten. As independent contractors, we want to make it clear that the opinions expressed do not necessarily reflect the opinions of insideSTL. Also as independent contractors, insideSTL did not have editorial control over the show’s content.’’
Surely Clark’s goose became officially cooked when Pujols said that he would sue Clark. Seems to be a case of when trying to be a Skip Bayless type goes wrong. Let us remember this was Clark’s debut to radio, and he instantly decided to jump into some very risky territory–bad move.
Was Clark’s firing justified or was he well within his freedom of speech to speculate?
