The bright side is that it wasn’t the Super Bowl ring that Jamal Lewis won as a member of the Ravens. It was a Super Bowl ring that owner Stephen Bisciotti gave him as a gift when the Ravens won Super Bowl 49.
Lewis is dealing with massive debt and had to file bankruptcy. The ring was sold at auction for $50,820.
“Jamal is one of the all-time Ravens greats,” said Ken Goldin of Goldin Auctions, which sold the ring to a collector in Maryland. “This ring was hotly contested and we saw a lot of interest from Ravens fans.”
The money will be going directly to his creditors.
Statement: Jamal Lewis informed us that he was forced to sell the ring due to financial difficulties. We understand & respect his decision.
