Choosing his knees over one last season, Jason Richardson announced his retirement from the NBA this morning after 14 seasons and two Slam Dunk Contest wins.
The veteran guard took to Instagram on Wednesday night to announce his formal retirement:
Jason Richardson told Yahoo he made decision to retire after deliberating for 6 hours on Tuesday & told Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer today.

Richardson, 34, last played for the Philadelphia 76ers in 2014-15. He averaged 9.1 points and 3.5 rebounds in 19 appearances.
