Thursday night, Jay glazer hosted his “Glazer Palooza: Kickoff Party” in Scottsdale, AZ. He partnered with his good friend, Jared Allen to benefit “Jared Allen’s Home for Wounded Warriors” which is a foundation that provides financial assistance and support to injured US Soldiers. The foundation builds and remodels homes to meet the needs of the wounded solider. Jared Allen founded the organization in 2009 and having a military family background, this foundation was a no brainer.
“After I came home from the USO Tour, I had a buddy tell me about the gap and the situations that present themselves to soldiers when they come home. We got involved and it just took off. Now we are partnering with companies like Lane Furniture and Home depot. We are building our 8th home and we hope to do more. We would like to help as many families as we can and Im excited to be apart and have something like this.”
Jay Glazer’s Kick Off party is usually coupled with charities and he said benefiting Allen’s foundation was something he couldn’t wait to do and is excited to raise money for a terrific cause.
“Jared is the first guy I trained in mixed marital arts for an NFL player years ago in Arizona. Every year I do a charity with Glazer Palooza; the fact that he builds homes for wounded warriors it was perfect to do it this year with him. Its easy to think about things when they go on already or when its in the past and no one thinks about it but he does. These guys come home and no one thinks about them, Allen does.”
“Glazer Palooza” was held at the beautiful Maya Day and Night Club in Scottsdale, AZ. There were different collectible items being auctioned off such as 49er Jerry Rice jersey signed by the star WR himself, “Breaking Bad” plaque, trips and different signed NFL star helmets. Many stars appeared at the event such as David Spade, Fox NFL Sunday host Curt Menefee and countless others.
