Jeremy Lamb will soon be a member of the Charlotte Hornets. Lamb had shown some promise on The Thunder but could never fully make it into Scott Brooks rotation. Maybe now Lamb will get some playing time to sink or swim in the league.
For OKC this free’s up $2 million in salary against the cap for next season. The Thunder are expecting to pay the luxury tax bill and this move will save the Thunder close to $4 million. Teams are taxed close to double each dollar of the luxury tax threshold.
I am told the @hornets will also end up with Jeremy Lamb in a separate deal involving Matt Barnes' contract. Barnes isn't going to OKC.
