White House Chief-of-Staff John Kelly is flat out refusing to act as a civil human being, unless the President tells him to do so that is.
Washington Post reports that Kelly says he “absolutely” refuses to apologize to Rep. Frederica S. Wilson of Florida for the attack leveled at her earlier this month when she criticized the President’s handling of a condolence call to the window of Sgt. La David Johnson who was killed during an ambush in Niger with four other soldiers.
“Oh, no. No. Never. Well, I’ll apologize if I need to. But for something like that, absolutely not. I stand by my comments.”
During the course of their feud, Kelly also accused Rep. Wilson of taking credit for the securing the funding of a new federal building in Miami, a claim that was later confirmed to be false, when video surfaced from the ceremony showing she did not accept credit for the project.
