ESPN The Magazine is doing a special for its February 18 music Issue. In it, athletes dress up as music stars on famous album covers.
Tampa Bay buccaneers quarterback Josh Freeman was given the task of Michael Jackson and his classic Thriller album cover.
Per Larry Brown Sports via Stacey Pressman of ESPN The Mag, Freeman pulled the look off with flying colors.
The photo shoot was reportedly shot on a Monday in December when Freeman and the Bucs had a day off. Freeman who happens to be a Michael Jackson fan, says he was stunned by the resemblance.
“It all started with the hair,” Freeman says in a behind-the-scenes video. “You know, you’ve got to get the hair right. I’m getting there. Just need a few things. It’s all about getting dressed, getting the outfit right, it’s little subtleties of looking more like him. You’re like, “I don’t look like him.’ Because you look at yourself almost every day. But the pics came out and I was like, ‘Wow, that’s crazy.’”
Here is a photo of both for comparison.
There is also a behind the scenes video also.
