In Game 6 of the second round playoff series between the Los Angeles Clippers and Houston Rockets, Josh Smith led a 19-point Rocket comeback to force a Game 7 in a series Houston would eventually win. Two months later, it seems that performance is still impressing the Clippers. According to RealGM’s Shams Charania, Los Angeles has come to terms with the mercurial forward.

After a lack of depth off the bench caused the Clippers to collapse in the playoffs, the team has rebounded with a strong summer by adding Lance Stephenson, Paul Pierce and now Smith to their core.
