Before Kareem Adbul-Jabar became the inside force that helped bring the Showtime Lakers 5 NBA championships in the 80ś, Lew Alcinder lead the Milwaukee Bucks to a title in 1971. And with rumblings that the Bucks ownership may be looking to sell, Abdul-Jabar said the would love to be a part of bringing notoriety back to the area he once requested to be traded from.
The team is probably going to change hands soon, I don’t know what’s going to happen specifically, but I’m keeping an eye on it. I might possibly try to be involved, it would be great to be able to help the franchise where, that I worked for, get back to the top. They deserve it, the Wisconsin sports fans are incredible, and they deserve a first-rate team.
I think it is wonderful that more former players are looking to get involved in basketball from an ownership perspective. Thatś where the real respect and power lies. Good luck to Abdul-Jabar on his endeavor.
