The troubles for Seminoles RB Karlos Williams continues. Williams was accused by the mother of his son, Miranda Wilhelm, of domestic abuse. Wilhelm even went as far as to post photos on Facebook for several bruises all over her body claiming she had been living with domestic violence for 2 years but would no longer accept such a lifestyle. Wilhelm has since said that she will not cooperate with any police investigation and isn’t pressing charges against Williams.
However, the trouble doesn’t end there for Williams. The university has stepped in, and Williams may now be subject to a Title IX investigation.
The Tallahassee Police Department confirmed it is investigating an alleged domestic battery case involving Williams. It said it continues despite the woman involved filing an affidavit asking police to end the investigation.
Brooks confirmed the university reported what happened to police. Federal policy dictates that universities must investigate possible Title IX violations if they are aware of an incident.
Florida State University is not confirming if there is a Title IX investigation into the Williams domestic violence situation. However, the spokesperson for the school, Brooks Browning, issues a statement.
“While each set of facts and circumstances is different, as a general matter notice of any Title IX-related issues would prompt an investigation.”
It certainly sounds like Williams is facing some problems with the school.
