Kevin Love, as we all know, isn’t happy being with the Minnesota Timberwolves after not making the playoffs once with the franchise. Love is able to opt out of his contract next year in free agency.
Love discussed the trade rumors of this offseason and his status with the T-Wolves during an appearance on ESPN’s “SportsNation” Wednesday.
“No matter what the outcome is, I just want to end up in a great place where I can win,” Love said on “SportsNation.” “At the end of the day, I’ve played six years, haven’t made the playoffs yet, that burns me and hurts my heart, so I really want to be playing.”
Love was asked about the idea of playing for the New York Knicks under team president Phil Jackson. Love expressed interest in the idea.
“I think any time you have Phil Jackson involved in any organization, you’re going to definitely look at it and it’s definitely intriguing,” Love said. “The Knicks are definitely a place where anybody would like to go.”
Looks like Phil Jackson and Derek Fisher can use this as a selling point for Carmelo Anthony to stay with the team.
