The weirdest thing so far in 2016 has been the rise of scary clowns lurking in cities all over the country. As word spread on social media of more and more clown sightings, copycats were bound to make an appearance.
YouTube prankster Sadiq Mohammad wanted to capitalize on the scary clown hysteria, so he began dressing up as a killer clown and started scaring people for his channel. In this instance, Sadiq selected the wrong victim and ended up getting pistol whipped.
Here are more details from Daily Mail:
Rather than turning in terror as his previous victims had, Mohammad’s last target simply stands and stares, leaving the prankster flailing and unsure.
‘Why you gonna play that s**t in Stockton, brother?’ the man asks.
‘That s**t done-a** played out, bro,’ he adds, referring to the recent spate of clown pranks.
He then reaches for a gun in his waistband and says ‘Don’t run, b***h,’ before clubbing the YouTube celeb over the head with it.
Mohammad falls to the ground, and shouts ‘It’s a prank! There’s a camera right there!’ before running.
‘I ought to pop your dumb a**,’ the man says.
He briefly points his gun at the fleeing clown, before turning on the camera holder, who also runs away.
The clip, which was shared on October 17, has now received more than 140,000 views. But Mohammad told KCRA.com he won’t be repeating his prank.
‘Lesson learned is, people don’t play with the clown stuff,’ he said. ‘Like, people really will shoot anybody.’
Sacramento attorney Kresta Daly told the channel that meeting an unknown threat with force is legal – so long as it’s ‘reasonable.’ In this case, pulling a gun was too much, she said.
Sadiq was not hurt, but he is lucky he wasn’t shot over his dumb prank.
