In 2011, Stow — a 42 year old Giants fan out of Santa Cruz, California — sustained severe injuries to his skull and brain after he was beaten relentlessly by two Dodgers fans outside of Dodger Stadium. The doctors said he will never fully recover. On Wednesday, jurors announced that they had found the Dodgers negligent in Bryan Stow’s civil lawsuit against the team. They are responsible for paying 25% of the $18 million Stow was rewarded.
