The Lions have signed their best defensive player to an extension.
NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday that the team and its star linebacker have reached agreement on a contract extension over four years.
The #Lions and star LB DeAndre Levy have reached an agreement on a contract extension, I’m told. This was an offseason priority.

A third-round draft pick by the Lions in 2009, Levy is now a star. He recorded 119 tackles and six interceptions in 2013, and followed it up with 151-tackles last season.
