It happens.
I can see how with a busy wedding people might have forgotten about him, this is why you should always bring a date.
The Bucs receiver attended the wedding of former college teammate and Ravens wideout Deonte Thompson on Friday night, the Tampa Bay Times reports. The two played together at Florida, and Thompson decided to tie the knot at Flagler Museum in Palm Beach.
But Murphy, 29, had a little too much fun. According to a police report obtained by the Times, Murphy told police he went to the courtyard of the museum after spending the night drinking and fell asleep on the steps. When he awoke early Saturday morning, everyone was gone, and the doors to the museum were locked.
Murphy then “got nervous and broke the glass on one of the doors to unlock it,” per the Times. Murphy called his friend, who then dialed the police. At 1:12 a.m., police arrived, according to the Times.
The museum isn’t going to press charges and he plans to pay for broken window.
