I don’t ever put too much stock in these Madden predictions, but there’s always a little something that can be taken away from them. Last year, Madden 11 gave the MVP Award to Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers didn’t win the MVP award, but he did have a great season and an even more spectacular postseason which ended in a Super Bowl voctory and MVP honors in the big game.
This year, the Madden 12 simulation has Eagles QB Michael Vick winning the Most Valuable Player award, and it’s not a far-fetched idea. Last year, Vick was on a run which had many thinking MVP until he came back down to earth towards the end of the regular season. Now with Vick as the undisputed franchise QB in Philly, it is very possible for him to take his much-improved game to the next level.
The simulator here has Vick throwing for 29TDs and 4,000 yards. Assuming that Vick runs for his usual yardage, those kind of totals should give Vick the MVP award. However, given Vick’s always fragile state, it seems as if those kinds of stats would seem unattainable. Well, never say never ..
