Looks like the one-game suspension wasn’t enough for cornerback Marcus Peters.
During Week 13 in NY, during a two-point conversion, Chiefs CB, Steven Nelson, was flagged for defensive holding. Unhappy with the call, Peters threw the ref’s flag into the stands. According to Sporting News, the suspension resulting in a $72k base salary loss along with the $24k fine from the NFL. That’s one expensive flag.
The NFL is not playing any games this season and is setting examples left and right. Whatever these players are thinking of doing that’s outside of common sense can get ready to pay huge consequences.
