UFC Veteran Mark Hunt has made it clear that he won’t back down from any opponent, even if it happens to be Brock Lesnar.
The MMA star took to his website to address his thoughts on his upcoming bout in UFC 202, where he’ll go up against WWE star Brock Lesnar. Here’s a few snippets of what Hunt had to say about his upcoming matchup:
“I deal with a wrestler like I deal with every other fighter,” he said. “I punch them in the mouth.”
“I already said they better be testing him, but in the end it doesn’t even matter. It’s time for ‘punch face’, a game I have been playing for many years. I’ll knock his face off. I knock his mouth off and then his lips fly off.”
“I will send this pretender back so he can play house with the other part timers. This realm is for the real fighters, not these damn pretenders.”
Whoa. The level of shade being thrown towards Lesnar is ridiculous. Frankly I’m not to sure the statements issued by Hunt was smart, but it will make this contest even more interesting. What Hunt is forgetting though is that Lesnar is no scrub. The man dominated the heavyweight division and also won the belt during his short tenure in the sport. I think it’d be smart for Hunt to be quiet or risk walking into an F-5 tornado come July.
