The Arizona Cardinals are apparently trying to keep Marquise Brown in the desert ahead of a busy trade deadline.
A few teams have been identified as possible sellers ahead of the league’s trade deadline on October 31st, including the Arizona Cardinals.
In light of the team’s offseason rebuilding efforts and dismal play through six weeks, trade market rumors have linked to players like wide receiver Marquise Brown and tight end Zach Ertz.
It is reported that other clubs across the league are showing interest in Brown, who is scheduled to play out the remaining year of his rookie contract before becoming a free agent in 2024.
Diana Russini of The Athletic dug into recent trade rumors and provided the following analysis of Brown, despite reports that the team wants to hold him.
“The Arizona Cardinals have received calls on wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, but the team isn’t looking to move him. Brown is both healthy and productive right now and looks to be part of this team’s future. Remember, the Cardinals have six picks in the first three rounds of the 2024 NFL Draft. They have plenty of draft capital.”
With 29 of 53 targets completed for 334 yards and three touchdowns so far this season, Brown leads the Cardinals in all significant receiving categories.
