Dodgers slugger Matt Kemp is off to a pretty regretful year. First there was the lousy start, then there was the hamstring injury he’s been nursing for 3 weeks.
Despite an unmemorable rehab stint at Triple-A Albuquerque in which he had just 2 hits and struck out 6 times in 3 games, Kemp has been cleared off the DL and is scheduled to start for tonight’s game vs the Giants.
He’ll bat 5th and will start at centerfield. Kemp has a lot of ground to makeup due to the injury and has to start producing soon if his Dodgers want any part in competing down the stretch.
Dodgers sit in last place in the NL West with a 33-42 record.
