As we reported here last Thursday, Spurs forward Stephen Jackson twisted his ankle and had to leave a game against the Knicks after tripping over NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s waitress.
Today the Mayor is singing a different tune, one you might be surprised to hear. According to Mayor Bloomberg Jackson didn’t trip over the waitress,
Bloomberg told the New York Post that Jackson hurt his ankle because he pushed him, to avoid having Jackson trip over his important waitress.
“He didn’t fall on her,” Bloomberg revealed yesterday during a press conference in The Bronx dealing with schools. “He came close and I just pushed him a little bit.”
“I wasn’t helping [the Knicks]” the mayor said.
What a Mayor.
