Newly acquired Carolina Panther offensive tackle Michael Oher gave his thoughts on the movie based about his young adulthood in the 2009 film the ‘Blindside’ starring Sandra Bullock.
Oher spoke with reporters earlier today on the negative impact the movie has had on his NFL career.
“This stuff, calling me a bust, people saying if I can play or not … that has nothing to do with football. It’s something else off the field. That’s why I don’t like that movie. That’s taken away from my football,” Oher said. “That’s why people criticize me. That’s why people look at me every single play.”
The seven year veteran won a Super Bowl with the Baltimore Ravens in 2012, and has been a solid pro at the offensive tackle position.
