It’s been a long road full of ups and downs for Michael Vick but he doesn’t feel he has reached the end just yet. Vick, a 35-year-old free agent, has played 13 seasons in the NFL and has hopes of playing one more before calling it quits according to SportingNews.com.
“I’m 35, about to turn 36. I’ve got one more dedicated season in my blood, if somebody needs me to come in. But I’m kind of happy where I am right now.”
There is a chance the Steelers will bring Vick back for one more year but if they don’t, Vick will seek employment else where.
“I’ve got my health, I’ve got my kids, I’ve got my family,” Vick said. “The game has done so much for me in terms of relationships, opportunities to take care of myself and my family. I’m just thankful. I give all the credit to God.”
If the Steelers done sign Vick soon, I could see him as a go to guy if a team is hit hard with injuries at the quarterback position. Vick is a veteran who could give a young quarterback a few pointers although he does seem comfortable knowing he could have played his last game already.
