The Dolphins can’t cut Mike Wallace without taking a huge cap hit — so unless a trade is in the works — Wallace is likely to remain in Miami.
Wallace finished the regular season on an ugly note — reportedly benching himself during the Dolphins seson finale.
The Miami Herald reported Saturday that Dolphins general manager Dennis Hickey recently had a meal with Wallace, according to a source with direct knowledge of the situation.
Miami thought they were getting one of the games best wideouts when they signed Wallace to a five-year, $60 million contract in 2013.
Wallace tied a career high with 10 touchdowns this season.
