The Missouri cops have spoken on the shooting death of the fire chief Robert Daus’ ex-fiancée Sarah Sweeney and according to the cops, the killing of Sarah was suspicious and it’s still being investigated.
Once cops have come out letting the public know the shooting death of Sarah Sweeney was suspicious, they’ve likely gotten a lead.

Aired by the St. Louis cops Wednesday, the revelation comes days after the body of Sarah Sweeney was found in Robert Daus’s home in suburban Maryland Heights, Missouri.
A cause of death has yet to be revealed, but cops said the local firefighter’s love interest showed no obvious signs of trauma. A toxicology report is being performed.
The ‘sudden death’ is now under active investigation – as is the 2020 death of Grace Holland, a 35-year-old woman who officers in Creve Coeur said killed herself at the Daus’s new home in Creve Coeur, Missouri, in July 2020.
Police in St. Louis County are now saying the investigation into Holland’s death has been reopened, and that their probe ‘remains active.’
Daus, a captain at the nearby Maryland Heights Fire Department, has yet to be named a suspect in either case. He had been engaged to Holland when she died, supposedly from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
‘This case was ruled a suicide by the medical examiner’s office long before we became involved,’ said St. Louis County Police Sgt. Tracy Panus in a statement Thursday, revealing her department’s probe was reopened last year.
‘At the conclusion of our investigation, as with every other death investigation, we never made a determination of the manner of death,’ she continued, after cops in Creve Coeur asked her force to reassess their 2020 suicide determination.
As it’s been reported, the investigations are still ongoing, and once the cops finalize their findings, whoever is behind the shooting will be brought to book.
