Titans: 14
Jets::10
In a game with playoff implications for the struggling NY Jets they failed to answer the call.
The woefully bad 5-9 Tennessee Titans capitalized off the Jets’ countless mistakes. A 94 yard touch down run for Chris Johnson foreshadowed just how long the Jet’s night would be. Johnson scored the second longest run in Monday Night Football history, and in the process put the Titans up 7-3.
A failed experiment by Rex to put in Tebow proved pointless, and seemed to befuddle the already very confused Mark Sanchez even more. The Titans were far from perfect, but due to countless turnovers by Sanchez kept getting chance after chance to make nothing into something. A Jake Locker Touchdown in the 3rd put the Titans back on top 14-10, where they’d stay.
The game ended with the Jets being knocked out of playoff contention. Sanchez was at an all time worst with 4 picks, and a bobbled snap which ended the game for good. A very ugly match, for two very ugly seasons. Jets and Titans both will be on the outside of the post season.
