Arrest Warrant for Terrell Owens to Be Recalled After He Pays Back Child Support

I am glad T.O. has cleared up this particular case because I didn’t want him to be arrested.

As you know Owens’ is having some serious financial difficulties and one of the main issues is all his pending child support cases (Terrell Owens He Has $0 Monthly Income, Pays $500K Yearly to 4 Baby Mamas).  He is trying to get them to be reduced (honestly they seem a bit high), but in the interim the mother of his children aren’t playing around when it comes collecting their money.

Terrell Owens is no longer a wanted man … because he’s anted up on his back child support payment … TMZ has learned.

As we first reported, a California judge issued an arrest warrant last week after T.O. was a no-show at a child support hearing. T.O. — who was behind child support — had been trying to reduce his payments, claiming he just doesn’t make the big bucks anymore.

The lawyer for Monique Reynolds, the baby’s mother, tells TMZ, “Terrell Owens has today paid his child support obligation to Monique Reynolds, and Ms. Reynolds has requested that the Court dismiss her contempt motion and recall the associated warrant that was issued.”

Unfortunately I think T.O.’s career in the NFL is over but he is a marketable name, so I am hoping in his post NFL career he can find some revenue streams so he gets out of this fiancial bind he is currently in.

Bench Warrant Issued for Terrell Owens

Terrell Owens is not having his best month.

TMZ is reporting that a California judge issued a bench warrant for T.O. after he failed to appear in family court regarding past-due child support.

Court sources confirm … the warrant was issued on Nov. 1 after T.O. was a no-show in family court … where Monique Reynolds was trying to force the football star to finally cough up thousands of dollars in unpaid child support.

Owens is coming off couple of weeks that have seen him publicly state that he can’t afford the child support payments and has petitioned the judge to lower his monthly installments, which was denied due to his failure to even show up for an October 24th court hearing.

The very next day, T.O. held a private workout for prospective NFL teams coordinated by his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, that turned out to work wonders in the sense that the workout was so private, no NFL team bothered to show up.

The very next day, audio of Owens’ assistant’s 911 call caused by his alleged suicide attempt leaked to the public. Also, from various reports from my Twitter timeline, The T.O. Show is pure wack juice.

I’m sure many T.O. detractors may take a slight piece of pleasure in Terrell’s recent misfortunes. But this is real life, and T.O.’s struggles continue to show a man no longer to handle the spotlight he once got out of the bed for (and actually did push-ups in driveway for).

Terrell Owens needs to get his life, and money, back on track, especially before attempting a ill-fated and unlike comeback to the National Football League.

T.O.’s representatives released this statement.

The most current publicized “no show” court date of October 24 was something that Mr. Owens had tried well ahead of time to reschedule with Ms. Reynolds and her attorney. They refused. His reschedule request was due to the fact that Mr. Owens had a scheduled workout to demonstrate his capabilities that was televised and viewed by all NFL teams in the hopes of securing a contract and income. Mr. Owens did not have legal representation while trying to reschedule this court date and was seeking a new attorney. The warrant issued this week for his “no show” court date is being handled by his attorneys currently and will be resolved immediately. Mr. Owens is deeply upset that anyone would misconstrue his nonappearance in court.

Mr. Owens is working to resolve all of these matters and appreciates his fan’s support. We are confident that Mr. Owens will be signed this season to the NFL and all of his child support payments will be modified fairly according to his true income.

Terrell Owens Requests His Child Support Payments to Monique Reynolds Be Lowered

I always thought that child support cases should be reviewed yearly.

People situations change and their payments should be adjusted (up or down) because of that. If you are paying $100 a month and then hit the lottery, you can afford to pay a little more on the flip side if you go from making $5 million a year to $500k a year that should be taken into consideration.

T.O. has been trying to get a couple of his child support cases under control, he has been sued by one baby mama because of late payments and now he is dealing with another.

Owens, who is currently not an NFL roster, wants to reduce the payments he’s making to baby mama Monique Reynolds … because, according to his rep, he’s simply not getting paid these days.

The rep says Owens wants to make the payments a little more reasonable, adding, “His child support payments should mirror his income today and not be based on his income from over four years ago.”

Owens was due in court in Northern California for child support modification hearing on October 24, but didn’t show up. His rep says his lawyers tried to reschedule, but lawyers for Reynolds refused.

Can’t miss court if you are looking for the judge to help you out. The financial difficulties Owens’ appear to be having is legit and with no NFL showing much interest right now, the situation would be consider serious.

I don’t want to see anyone struggle, but if you have kids you have to take care of them. Hopefully the courts will find a fair middle ground.
