Caris LeVert is back and finding his rhythm after dropping 26 points and nine assists snapping the Indiana Pacers three-game losing streak.
In an impressive 139-133 OT win over the San Antonio Spurs, the Pacers shot 55.3 percent from the field and relied heavily on the attack game finishing with 72 points in the paint.
“We just wanted to come out and try to just have fun with the game again,” LeVert said, via ESPN. “I feel like we were kind of letting the losses take away from the fact we get to play basketball for a living. I think today we got back to just having fun and it showed out there on the court.”
Having fun is important but if the Pacers want to get back into the NBA Playoff picture, they’ll have to put a string of consecutive wins together with 24 games left in the season.
Myles Turner, T.J. McConnell and Aaron Holiday erupted for 18 points each giving the Pacers that offensive fire power in the absence of Malcolm Brogdon and Domantas Sabonis.
The Spurs turnovers destroyed them in the second-half with Demar DeRozan finishing with 25 points.
Dejounte Murray 20 points along with Derrick White’s 18 couldn’t translate into a win for the undersized Spurs.
The Pacers will face the Chicago Bulls April 6 at 6: p.m. EST on Fox Sports Indiana.
