According to the Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski the NBA and NBPA have agreed to shorten the free agency moratorium period. It is now set to begin on July 1 and end on July 6.
This means the 2016 free agent crop (including a certain unguardable 6’11’ silky smooth former MVP) will have one less day to think about their professional futures. Should I stay or should I go? Anyone remember last year’s DeAndre Jordan situation?….
The original moratorium period was to begin on July 1 and end on July 11. Five less days may certainly limit the amount of potential suitors a free agent visits for fear of having too much to think about during free agency. For most NBA players the choice is simple, where can I max out in terms of salary with the best opportunity to win.
