If this is true the Football Gods punished Ndamukong Suh with a far greater punishment than a fine. Suh wasn’t laughing as the Lions blew another lead when Andrew Luck drove the Colts down the field for a winning touchdown.
Big hits happen in the NFL, but when someone is hurt you don’t dance and laugh at them. Here is what happened according to NFL.com.
After Lions cornerback Don Carey made an interception with 6:40 left in Sunday’s 35-33 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, Suh hammered right tackle Winston Justice. Suh and his teammates reportedly stood over Justice, laughed and danced. Justice left the game with a concussion.
Colts right guard Mike McGlynn was furious after the game. He was seen jawing with Suh after the Colts‘ game-winning touchdown.
“Totally ignorant on their part,” McGlynn told Bob Kravitz of The Indianapolis Star. “Just childish stuff. We’re all battling out there; I don’t know if the hit was legal or not, but clearly he was hurt, and they’re out there dancing and pointing at him and laughing. Just blatant disrespect. They’re good players, but there’s no room for that. It’s disgusting, really.”
Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be any video evidence of the play, but based on Suh’s history would you be surprised if it was true? Furthermore, considering the Lions immaturity as a whole this wouldn’t surprise me.
Hopefully, video will surface to confirm what happened, if it happened as the Colts say it did another fine for Suh would be in order.
