According to the Omaha World-Herald, New England Patriots Cornerback Alfonzo Denard was arrested earlier this morning in Nebraska on suspicion of DUI after Lincoln police spotted his car straddling a lane line.
While this is a serious offense, it could prove even costlier for Dennard. He is currently on two years probation for assaulting a police office during a bar fight and this certainly doesn’t look good. He served 30 days in jail for the fight, but the judge allowed him to serve his sentence after the NFL season.
Don’t expect the judge to be lenient again.
And I also wouldn’t expect the team to be very lenient considering the microscope they are under with the Aaron Hernandez murder investigation.
