Pilot by day, pimp by night.
Sounds like the plot of Batman vs. Superman.
By day, Bruce Wayne Wallis was an acclaimed international pilot for United Airlines.
At night, however, the 51-year-old Kingwood man became “Bruno,” a pistol-packing pimp in a black Hummer, intimidating prostitutes and rival pimps as he commanded a string of brothels scattered across the Houston area, investigators say.
This week, his two worlds collided.
Wallis was arrested Wednesday and charged with operating a prostitution ring that prosecutors say was “massive.”
“It’s one of the largest operations that I’ve ever worked on,” said Assistant Harris County District Attorney Lester Blizzard.
Months of surveillance and seized records – including graphic texts between Wallis and the women – reveal the double life of a respected airline pilot who was praised by the Federal Aviation Administration even as he built a criminal empire filled with money, guns and women, according to court documents obtained by the Houston Chronicle.
But there is a whole lot more to this story.
