On Saturday night, the Pacers defeated the Detroit Piston in a 115-109 victory with Malcolm Brogdon and Caris LeVert combining for 51 points.
In the fourth quarter, the Pistons took a 101-97 lead at 4:55 left on clock. The Pacers responded with a 12-1 run keeping the Pistons from clawing back who couldn’t find momentum.
Despite a season high of 62 rebounds from the Pistons, Jerami Grant finished with 25 points With Mason Plumlee 17 points and 21 rebounds.
“It was great switching to the 2/3 zone,” LeVert said, via ESPN. “We were able to get out in the open court and get some layups.”
The 2/3 zone often works for the Pacers which forced the Pistons to rely on their drive and kick with the shot clock winding down.
18 turnovers for the Pistons puts them at an overall 18-43 record while ranked last in the Eastern Conference.
The Pacers will take on the Orlando Magic tonight to build off their two-game winning streak.
