Fighting legends Ric Flair and Mike Tyson have broken down exactly why Will Smith slapping Chris Rock was ‘fake.’ Flair while speaking to The Post to promote Tyson 2.0, the cannabis business they’re partnering in, said he doesn’t think Will Smith’s slap was real via TPS;
“I didn’t think it was real,” Flair said of the Smith slap. Tyson chimed in: “If Ric says it’s a fake, then it’s a fake.”
Flair then went on to explain why he thought it was a work.
“I can speak for myself, and I’m pretty sure I’m speaking for Mike: If I didn’t like a remark, for any reason whatsoever, that somebody said about my wife, I would be punching them — not slapping them,” Flair said.
Tyson concurred: “It would be more than one punch, too.”
“When you’re mad at someone, you don’t slap him, you punch him,” Flair reiterated.
Mike Tyson dropped some advice to Will Smith, saying;
“I think Will needs to eat some of these Mike Bites and just chill out. It’s okay.”
So essentially, what Flair is saying is in his era, you punched, not slapped, a guy who talked crazily about your wife, and Tyson is saying that Will needs to eat some edibles to calm the hell down. I will say this; I believe that Will subconsciously pulled his punch or slap in this case. I mean that actors, especially those who have been action stars like Will Smith, have been taught how to pull their punches to make them look real. It is why Chris Rock didn’t stumble or move at all. Will caught him on the tip of his chin, which is instinctively how he is taught to do things on set. That is just my 2cent about it, what do you think?
